Ant checks into rehab

TV star Anthony McPartlin has checked into rehab after tearfully admitting drink and drugs problems to his wife and his showbiz partner Dec Donnelly.
The I’m A Celebrity and Britain’s Got Talent presenter has confessed to his close friends and family that he has come to grief over prescription drugs and booze.
Multi-millionaire Ant, 41, one of the biggest names in telly, wept as he revealed the crisis to his wife Lisa Armstrong and co-star Dec, also 41.
Last night Ant said: “The first step is to admit to yourself you need help.

Moved down my mum's road a few years back. House next door is owned by the council and was, not sure if so a halway house for old soaks. Don't think that helped.

I'd imagine it's something as simple as The Sun found out he was going to check into rehab, so they offered him the choice of granting them an exclusive interview about his situation, or they'd run the story without his comment

Sniper stories like this come out, especially on a Sunday, because there is a bigger story that the newspapers have uncovered and then do a deal with the celeb to supress it in favour of another "exclusive" story.
Anyone's guess as to what the other story is.

There's an easy way to remember which is which:
Ant is tell like an antenna.
Dec is low down like decking.
Has helped me out many a time remembering that.
